It's funny how time consuming the seemingly inconsequential tasks can become - say for instance, getting a blog up and running! (Big thanks to Micky Dionisio for getting that ball rolling). Now that it's online, we plan to use this medium to delve out some seriously helpful information on all things related to the CFCommons project (and perhaps a little more).
I'll keep this brief as there will be many more posts to follow; First things first - We're open-source, most modules are distributed under the Apache v2 license. There are a handful of ways to stay connected to and track progress of any individual element of the project;
- Jira: Track progress, submit issues.
- Fisheye: View our source code.
- Public SVN Repository: Supports anonymous checkouts.
One of the many tasks on our plate is to provide a nightly main-line build of all CFCommons modules - hopefully soon. And lastly, for those of you with an interest in contributing code to and advancing any one of the modules (and who possess mad CF skillz), let me know!
I'll leave this off with a personal tribute to Mountain Dew in the form of a Haiku, without which CFCommons may never have been the caffeine-fueled keyboard frenzy that it has been - and surely will continue to be;
Effervescent joy
